Moonrise Swims at Skyview: Music, Magic, and More

A MONTHLY CELEBRATION UNDER THE FULL MOON

At Skyview Los Alamos, the sky isn’t just a backdrop, it’s the main event. From sunrise to starlight, we’re all about celebrating the vast, ever-changing canvas above. Now, we’re thrilled to bring that magic to the pool deck with Moonrise Swims, a new series of monthly full moon swims soundtracked by live DJ sets presented by Traffic Records.

It’s your chance to float, dance, and soak in the energy of the full moon as it makes it's ascent each month. The details:

  • Open to the public - $25/person (Entry is complimentary for hotel guests!)

  • Tarot readings and cocktail specials + signature bites from Norman are available for purchase throughout the night.

  • 21 and over only.

  • Weather permitting.

Kickoff Event: The Blood Moon, March 2nd

Our first Moonrise Swim takes place on March 2nd as the Blood Moon moves through the sky, heading toward a total lunar eclipse later that night. A powerful symbol of transformation and renewal, the Blood Moon is the perfect occasion to begin this new tradition on a truly special night.

Mark your Lunar Calendars

Each Moonrise Swim aligns with a unique full moon, celebrating its history and energy:

🌕 Pink Moon: Tuesday, March 31st, 5-9pm

Named for the early spring wildflowers that paint the landscape, the Pink Moon represents renewal, creativity, and joyful beginnings. It’s a time to embrace growth and set intentions for the months ahead.

🌕 Flower Moon: Thursday, April 30th, 5-9pm

This luminous moon celebrates life in full bloom. The Flower Moon invites love, abundance, and connection, making it a perfect night to gather with friends under the starry sky.

🌕 Blue Moon: Saturday, May 30th, 5-9pm

A rare and mystical occurrence, the Blue Moon is the second full moon to appear in a single calendar month, caused by the lunar cycle being slightly shorter than our months. It symbolizes magic, wonder, and new opportunities.

🌕 Strawberry Moon: Sunday, June 28th, 5-9pm

Honoring the sweetness of early summer harvests, the Strawberry Moon embodies gratitude, pleasure, and connection.

🌕 Buck Moon: Tuesday, July 28th, 5-9pm

Named for the antlers of male deer that emerge in mid-summer, the Buck Moon represents strength, personal growth, and bold action. It’s a night to embrace courage and transformation.

🌕 Sturgeon Moon: Wednesday, August 26th, 5-9pm

Traditional fishing season in the northern hemisphere inspired the Sturgeon Moon, a symbol of endurance, abundance, and resourcefulness.

🌕 Harvest Moon: Friday, September 25th, 5-9pm

The bright moon closest to the autumnal equinox, the Harvest Moon celebrates gratitude, prosperity, and the fruits of your labor. Its golden glow creates the perfect backdrop for reflection and revelry.

🌕 Hunter’s Moon / Supermoon: Saturday, October 24th, 5-9pm

Rising after the Harvest Moon, the Hunter’s Moon has guided nocturnal hunters for centuries. This Supermoon amplifies energy, focus, and ambition, encouraging boldness as autumn deepens and nights grow longer.
